yellow cat

Because cats are experts at hiding the signs of illness, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination for cats under 7 years of age, and every 6 months for cats over 7 years of age. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help diagnose health problems in their earlier, more treatable stages. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Diagnostic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide in-house laboratory testing, parasitology, and radiology.  We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized testing.

Anesthesia and Surgery:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.

Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing and limited tooth extractions.  We provide referrals to dental specialists when major dental work or oral surgery are required.  We also carry feline toothbrushes, flavored toothpaste, and tartar control diets to help prevent dental disease.

Permanent identification: We provide microchip insertion for permanent identification in case your pet is ever lost.

Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, flea control products and heartworm preventives to meet the needs of your cat. We also carry Hill's prescription diets.

Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your cat.

Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and geriatrics.

Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide advice regarding the prevention and correction of behavior problems and proper feline socialization.

Soft Paws Nail Caps:  We offer nail caps which can be applied at home or in our office to prevent damage from scratching behavior.
